Delfino and Delilah
One of Delilah's forty-four babies, Delphino (our reptilian mascot) was born in 2012. He's a show-stopping 11-foot Burmese python that lives in the Artisan store in Santa Fe. Momma python, Delilah, grew to 17 feet and weighed in at 275 pounds before she died. She starred in the movie “Rising of Isis” before she shed her final skin and passed on, so Delphino has big shoes to fill at Artisan! For those of you who don't know, I studied to be a veterinarian early on and have a passion for animals, especially reptiles. And yes, I've been bitten a couple of times and I've survived to tell the story!

Cherishing every moment of our lives together, my loving wife, Karen and I, along with our four kids, seven grandkids, Ike, our German Shepherd, (who is also my running partner) the Chihuahuas and our two snakes are loving life one day at a time. Truly, I've been blessed with a full plate of love!​

I started out as a sales clerk here at Artisan in 1988. Back then we were located on Canyon Road an growing. Eventually I became a business partner. In 1996 my partners and I moved Artisan from Canyon Road to our current Cerrillos Road location here in Santa Fe. The rest is history in the making, and our store, now in two locations, both Santa Fe and Albuquerque is one of the few places where you're still sure to find the very best selection of artists materials in the Southwest.​

The Artisan Material Expo began in 2000 and it's been a winner for both artists and vendors alike since its early days. Year after year we've grown to include as many as 120 workshops, 80 vendors and 56 instructors. Serving the needs of our vibrant and flourishing creative community and beyond, people travel from all over the country to attend. 

​Then in 2016, I started the Art Fusion Radio program. Come join our audience when you're in town. We broadcast live out of the Artisan Santa Fe store on KVSF 1260 AM. The show is re-broadcast the following weekend and Podcast links are sent out with our newsletter.
